Mirabilia Andromeda
I’m very pleased to share a beautiful finish today — Andromeda by Mirabilia.
This was started on 6 October 2017 and finished on 23 August 2021, making it a very special long-term project to finally complete.
I stitched this using the called-for DMC and Kreinik threads on Chromatic Alchemy fabric in the colourway Cirrus — a 28 count evenweave Lugana. The main stitching was worked 2 strands over 2, with the skin stitched 1 strand over 1, which gives such a delicate finish to the piece.
I also used all the called-for beads, and they really add that beautiful Mirabilia sparkle.

This was such a lovely Mirabilia to work on, with all the beautiful details, soft fabric, flowing hair, and delicate beading. The combination of the fabric, threads, and beads gives the whole piece such an elegant, magical feel.
