Everyone, say hello to Gertrude!
She’s the Silly Patchwork Goose by Woollypetals, and she’s already become a bit of a favourite around here. I shared her over on Instagram and she got such a lovely response that I thought I simply had to introduce her here too.
I made her up in “Lighthouse” fabrics from the 10″ Patchwork Palette range, starting her on 5 August 2025 and finishing on 14 August 2025. She was actually a lot easier to make than I expected! The only fiddly bit was lining up the centre seam and I’ll be honest, it’s still not quite perfect, but do you know what? I think that’s part of her charm.
There’s something so joyful about making a softie, they end up with so much personality by the time you’ve stuffed them, and Gertrude is full of character (and a little bit of mischief, I think!).
I’m completely smitten with her. She makes me smile every time I walk past. 💛
