  • Much needed rainy day makes for a productive stitching day

At last the rain arrived in the south of England!  (much needed for the flowers).

With so much sun and heat my stitching declined dramatically over the last couple of months, making staying indoors impossible and stitching was non existent until Sunday (phew).

This weekend I have had the pleasure of watching the rain from the window watering my flowers and allow me to put my feet up, sit back and stitch for a whole day, what a pleasurable day I had with my Chatelaine (Evening in the park) and a cuddle with my fur baby whilst doing so.

I feel the progress was good for a day of stitching, managing to complete 2 more of the 4 swans and a bit more of the beading done.  This piece has opening the doors to enthusiasm to stitch again and reminded me what it is to actually sit and relax.  Gardening is not so much relaxing and more rewarding in weeks to come with the pruning and feeding and weeding lol!  But with all that hard work already done over the weeks, there was no guilt felt sitting indoors with my needle in hand.
