Christmas Fun
New start and FFO of the beautiful Victoria Sampler Christmas Crackers
With the festive season upon us, I couldn’t help having a new start on something festive. My choice was The Victoria Sampler Christmas Crackers. I now feel like I have official kicked off Christmas lol! I pushed the boat out and order the accessory pack, order the chart. I couldn’t get my hands on all the called for fabric colours so decided to do both on a piece of 28ct Cashel Linen in raw.
I was a little intimidated when I first looked at the booklet and the instructions – but once I studied the chart and instructions over a cup of coffee it didn’t look so bad.
These are a beautiful stitch! With a little one over one stitching, beads and specialty stitches thrown in. They turned out gorgeous.
So I first stitched the cute Santa, completed him with all the called for threads and beads.
Then stitched the beautiful angel with a few changes to the called for threads.
I learnt a new stitch Hemstitch – which at first looked a bit tricky – but actually was a lot easier than I thought; that said I think I would have preferred to made the stitches a little smaller so not so much of the white is showing in the edge fabric – note to self for next time.
Then for the finishing it could not have been easier – a little interfacing over the stitching and a wiz up on the sewing machine – a little ribbon threaded and some stuffing – So much fine and too cute.
Beautiful
Very, very lovely. You sure hit your groove back, didn’t you? Thx for sharing.
