When that hot weather arrives in the sunny south of England

I’m not sure if I’m the only one, but when the warmer and hot weather arrives in the sunny south of the country I cannot bring myself to sit indoors stitching.

My little English garden

It is too hot and sticky to even hold a needle and these lovely warm evenings sitting out on the deck with the family having alfresco dinner just doesn’t inspire me to head back indoors to stitch.

There is also all the gardening and watering that is needed in the garden, so for the past couple of months, I have not achieved much on my stitching projects.

As stitching has taken a more backward seat on my achievements and my gardening has filled me with happiness with the reward of blooms and colour all over the garden.

I thought I would share a little bloom and colour from the garden until I get back indoors to my stitching!

    1. Hi Lola

Thank you. I love the garden and flowers in the summer – but I am very much a fair weather gardener lol

  1. Your garden and yard are so very beautiful, full of blooms and color! I do not blame you at all for enjoying the warmth and beauty. Stitching can wait for when you cannot get outside.

    1. Hi Susan!
Thank you for your lovely comments. Yes I love the blooms and colour – I love the summer and like you say there is plenty of time for indoor stitching when the weather turns. Fingers crossed I get another month in the garden with the colour – wishful thinking here in the UK.

    1. Hey Gina! I only turned my hand to gardening 4 years ago and the garden is still very much a work in progress. Health wise I am doing well all things considered. Hope you are getting lots of stitching done.

  3. So beautiful Theresa, i was wondering why I hadn’t seen a floss tube lately. Was getting worried about you. Glad to see you are well and making beautiful projects outside just like you make beautiful projects inside. Looking forward to your next flosstube.
