  • Oh Yes! Totally unexpected finish – Full Coverage

What can I say!  This was the most unexpected finish of a full coverage WIP, totally unplanned but so happy right now!

My Heaven and Earth Design piece (QS Grace Face 2 by Josephine Wall) was a very old and drawn out WIP – I started her on 31st August 2015 and put the last stitch in her today 9th September 2018.

I am over the moon to be able to say she is a finish – she has already had a bath and I can’t wait to get her to the framer so she can hang on my wall.

This piece is 175 stitches x 233 stitches (7 inches x 9 1/4 inches based on 25 ct fabric)  I decided to stitch this piece on 18ct magic guide aida.

    completed

I had no intentions of stitching on her, until Friday following a stitchy chat with my friend Donna who convinced me to take on a challenge of 500 stitches on her this weekend – 500 stitches turned into something closer to 1770 stitches with confetti stitching.

    Close up face

This was one of those pieces that you stitch a bit, put down for a bit, then stitch a little more – needless to say she was put down a bit more than she was stitched a bit lol!

    total finish

I thought she would never end with all the confetti.

This was the starting point on Friday night when I dusted her off and got her ready for the 500 stitches weekend challenge lol!  Maybe I should do it more often.
