Weekend Progress – Nothing like getting a stitch on!

Nothing quite like a productive and fun weekend and I have managed to have just that.

So, where to start….. I have a new start!!!

Yes,  I have a new start because I convinced myself that with all the FFO’s and FO – I should treat myself.

Rosewood Manor – Spring Quaker

Rosewood Manor, Spring Quaker

Rosewood Manor, Spring Quaker – stitched on 28ct Lugana by Sparklies in colour way Rose Pot Pourri using the called for Valdani threads.

Next Up….

WIPS first up my little something new and different.

Loopylou Design – Beginner Hardanger – Part 1

Loopylou Design – This is a kit with all materials included

I have to admit… Cut work is very scary when you make the first cut – but once I was past that bit, I think it is not so bad, now for the next challenge wrapping the threads – loving trying something new.

At this point I thought I had better get out some of those neglected WIPS dusted off and get some stitches in.

Heaven and Earth Designs – Alternative Reality

Alternative Reality, Heaven and Earth Designs, by Josephine Wall

Alternative Reality stitched 1 over 1, on 25 count Ecru magic guide

It seems like forever when I last got this piece out and stitched on it.  It was very refreshing to be back stitching a full coverage piece 1 over 1.

Mirabillia – Andremeda

Then there was some love given to another lovely Mirabillia lady

Andromeda, Mirabillia

Mirabillia – Andromeda, Stitched on 28ct Lugana in colour way Cirrus by Chromatic Alchemy, stitching 2 over 2 and skin stitched 1 over 1

I worked mostly on the rock that she is perched on, I thought I would get a bit more of the darker areas done first and come back to the skin and colour later – some nice blocks of colour to work on after a lot of confetti stitching on other pieces.

Even with the stitching I still managed to uploaded two Flosstube videos one on my FFO’s and FO which have all been long projects and my August/September update on what I managed to achieve.

so feeling very accomplished.
