With all the sitting around recovering from a recent surgery, it would be rude not to make good use of my time and get a long awaited new start underway.
You are wondering what it is right…..
Well….. waiting in the wings has been my new Judy Dixon Autumn Promise and Autumn Secrets. (These designs are very similar in style to band samplers). The designs are made up of Hardanger and Drawn Thread with motifs and beads. I stumbled across them on Etsy at Tales in Stitches and fell in love with the look of all the designs straight away.
The designs call for a lot of silk threads which I personally love to work with, but they also give you alternative thread options with the chart
There are so many different designs to choose from, there is something for everyone so shop at your own risk lol!
I started working on the Autumn Promise and have been having a wonderful time stitching. It stitches up very quickly and with the gorgeous silk threads and colours it just looked lovely from the very start.
Have found it so hard to put down and decide on a stopping point to change to another neglected WIP.
Willpower was very much needed to put this down to work on other neglected WIPS

Now I just need to see how long I can resist the urge of it calling me from the drawer to come back out to play. I need to make sure I get time with all my other WIPS…… But I don’t think it will be long before I give in to the calling.
